Adventure at Chiang Mai - Karen Village - Mae Hong Sorn (Thailand)

Day 01: Chiang Mai – Karen Hill Tribe Village (L, D)

• Head towards the North of Chiang Mai. Stop at the beautiful Orchid Nursery and the Butterfly farm. Continue driving to Mae Tang district for Mae Taman Elephant camp; see the elephant shows by bathing, responding the commands of the mahout, a demonstration of dragging and pushing logs in the jungle.
• Experience elephant ride through the jungle for 45 minutes, then the Ox-Cart riding for 15 minutes back to the camp. Lunch will be provided at the camp.
• Enjoy the peaceful scenery by taking the bamboo rafting along Mae Tang River for an hour. On the way, see lush and green plantations of Lychee and Longan fruits. Drive along wildly and bumpy road up to Karen Hill tribe village at Baan Mae Jok.  The majority of the Karen people live in Myanmar, and yet they also form by the largest of the major tribes of Northern Thailand.  There are as many as 280,000 Karen living in Thailand who can be found living both in the mountains and on the plains but also in Central Thailand.  The Karen are very peaceful and cooperative, who likes the other tribes, reserves their highest veneration for their ancestors and living elders. Arrive the village.
• Relax by seeing the simple life, unique customs and chitchat with the hill tribe people. Dinner at the village (Guide will cook for clients an easy Thai cuisine). Overnight at the village (sleep in the Bamboo cottage, dormitory room house).

Day 02: Karen Hill Tribe Village – Mae Hong Sorn (B, L, D)

• Breakfast at the village. 
• Leave from Karen village. Visit the biggest Cave in Mae Hong Sorn called “Tam Lod” or Tham Nam Lod, is a 400m deep cave with a wide stream running through it, formed by a small stream running through a crack in the limestone surface. In addition, Tham Lod is also the site of numerous archaeological finds.
• Take a short Bamboo raft to see the ancient inside the cave, also the beautiful stalactite and stalagmite.  Picnic lunch will be provided.
• Transfer to visit Lahu hil ltribe village, Baan Mae Lana. Then, continue to Fish cave national park (Tam Plaa in Thai).
• Drive to Mae Hong Sorn. Arrive Mae Hong Sorn, Thailand's northern border province, hiding itself in between the towering mountains with densely forested slopes, stretching to the Burmese border. Mae Hong Sorn is known for its charm of scenery and culture. The people of Mae Hong Sorn consists of the Shan who live in the city and the hilltribe people who live in the remote villages on mountain tops where elements of lifestyle have changed little in hundreds of years.
• Transfer to Fern Resort or similar place. Barbecue Dinner will be served at the resort.

 Day 03: Mae Hong Sorn – Chiang Mai (B, L)

• Breakfast at the resort.
• Transfer to visit Padong Long neck tribe at Baan Nai Soi, the World’s famous tribe who immigrated to Thailand since long time ago.
• Continue to visit  the beautiful Myanmese style temples; Wat Jong Come, Wat Jong Klang, Wat Doi Kong Moo and Wat Hao Wieng. Lunch at the restaurant. Transfer to Mae Hong Sorn Airport for the afternoon flight back to Chiang Mai or a connecting flight to Bangkok).
