Day 3: Luang Prabang – Trekking & Home Stay

Waking up early to explore the Monks’ alms procession -  Daily dawn, saffron clad monks pad barefoot through the streets while pious townsfolk place tiny ball of sticky rice in there begging bowls. It’s quiet, meditative ceremony through which monks demonstrate their vows of poverty and humility while lay Buddhists gain spiritual merit by the act of respectful giving.
Although such processions occur all over Laos, Old Luang Prabang’s peaceful atmosphere and extraordinary concentration of mist-shrouded temple means that the morning’s perambulations along Th Sakkarin and Th Kamal creates an especially romantic scene.

Getting back to hotel for breakfast then we driving southward to Ban Suan Luang where the boat await for us and take us across the NamKhan River, and then walking up to the Khamu village of Ban Huay Aen. Having picnic lunch on your own in route and in the afternoon, trekking downhill to Ban Tin Pha village for overnight stay.
